sports eduction
The department of youth, culture and sports under the ministry of education in Bhutan has always seen sports as a challenge and means to stimulate the youth. The department executed a sports and education program and winter youth programs in which sports was used to learn life skills.
The sports and education program 2004/2005 was financed by PSO, the Netherlands Association for Personnel Service Overseas, and focussed on youth and sports development. The Bhutan Olympic committee and the football federations and archery federations in Bhutan and the Netherlands were involved in the program.
Bhutan+partners coordinated the program for PSO and reported to the Dutch partners as well as Bhutanese partner sin the program.
