    a bow between two worlds

Roel Burgler, professional photographer, has traveled to Bhutan several times over the passed fifteen years. Since his very first journey to Bhutan Roel was intrigued by the changes in society, the preservation of culture and traditions under pressure from modernasation and globalization. In  A Bow Between Two Worlds Roel has used archery as a metaphor for society to focus his story. The book gives an inside view into Bhutanese and Dutch archery.

The texts in the book are written by Taco van der Mark. The book was published by COS Zeeland in 2004.

Bhutan+partners supported this project connecting Roel to the Bhutan Archery Federation and were involved in publication of the book.

Bhutan+partners took care of the transport of 500 copies of the book as a gift to Bhutan.
