    Bhutan+partners facilitate and generate new and unusual programs driven by creative people searching for innovative and lasting connections. Founded in 2002, and based in the Netherlands, bhutan+partners inspire people and organizations from Bhutan and Europe to connect in the fields of business, culture and sports. Bhutan+partners programs are inspired by the principles of gross national happiness.

    Bhutan+partners, maintain a vast network at all levels of society in Bhutan and the Netherlands. Bhutan+partners is one of the few foreign organizations with easy access to ministries, the business community, CSO’s and individuals deeply rooted in the Bhutanese society. Bhutan+partners act on a not for profit base.

    Since 2002, bhutan+partners have successfully connected partners in Europe to Bhutan and vise versa. The core principles of the foundation have remained the same; bring people together and create an inspiring environment for innovative programs with a smile towards the future. Bhutan+partners step into business to business programs with respect for history, religion and culture. Bhutan+partners are keen to promote Thimphu as a biking city #1 in Asia in collaboration with biking city #1 of the world: Amsterdam!

    Bhutan+partners connect and support European and Bhutanese enterprises and concerns. The Ministry of Economic Affairs in Bhutan together with the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and bhutan+partners will present investment opportunities in the area of ethical business for foreign entrepreneurs.

    the film industry

    After having build up a track record in film production, bhutan+partners will support film makers and producers to enhance the Bhutan film industry. Bhutan+partners conducted an assessment of the Bhutan film industry in 2011.

    86 centimetres

    Bhutan+partners  produced the documentary 86 centimetres about  the threats of a glacial lake outburst flooding in Bhutan. 86 centimetres is a co-production with TGMI Media – Bhutan, and Enlightenment Films – the Netherlands and will be available from January 2012.

    Bhutan+partners encourage young artists to explore modern arts while working with traditional techniques and images. Thus keeping the best of both, while creating new ways of expression through the arts, music and media.

    sports 2012

    Bhutan is a sports nation. The development and promotion of sports is yet to be recognized as an important development strategy that contributes to the attainment of the national development goal of Gross National Happiness.
    Bhutan+partners encourage and support sports as means of social development and wholesome education in a vast changing society with focus on inclusion of young unemployed youth.

    sport coalitions in action

    Bhutan+partners coordinate the Sport Coalitions in Action Program in Bhutan for the Dutch ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sports. The program started late 2009 and runs till mid 2012. Developments and activities can be followed through the website Bhutan and sports.
