    Himalaya trial

The Himalaya Trial brought 35 classical cars from the Netherlands to Bhutan over land in 2008. The journey covered over 15,000 kilometers in 45 days. Participants entered Bhutan via Gelephu and travelled via Wangdue and Punakha to the finish in Thimphu. The participants attended the first ever classical piano concert in the Royal Banquet Hall in Thimphu. The Himalya trial was organized by Classic Events.

Bhutan+partners, together with the Royal Government of Bhutan and with support from Etho Metho, arranged all the logistics for the participants of the Himalaya Trial in Bhutan, including formalities, accommodation, security, program. Bhutan+partners also made arrangements and programs for family members to join participants at the finish in Thimphu and made travel arrangements for participants who wanted to linger on in Bhutan after the trial’s finish.
