A two-day seminar ‘Bhutan’s art of Living’ was organized in the Netherlands in May 2004. The seminar about gross national happiness and how GNH relates to day to day life, was organized by bhutan+partners and the school for philosophy (ISVW) in Leusden – The Netherlands. The seminar was attended by 45 participants.
Speakers at the conference were, Dasho Meghraj Gurung – former ambassador, director Bhutan Post and Royal Institute of Management, and Karma Galay – Centre for Bhutan Studies, both from Bhutan and Professor Ulrich Libbrecht – sinologist and founder of the School for Comparative Philosophy in Antwerp, Belgium, and Professor Otto Duintjer – philosopher. The seminar was supported by Hivos and NCDO.
Bhutan+partners organized the seminar together with ISVW. Bhutan+partners made all the practical arrangements for travel and stay of the Bhutanese speakers, collected material for the reader used during the seminar and reported to Hivos and NCDO.
