film industry bhutan
bhutan+partners assessed the film industry in bhutan in 2011 together with european experts on film making, distribution and marketing.
The report of the analysis of the present situation of the film industry in bhutan will be ready in October 2011, and will include recommendations to make the film industry commercially sound. The assessment covered all stages of filmmaking and production including distribution and marketing, within bhutan and worldwide with a focus on profitability and quality development.
The european team is headed by mr Ad Westrate. Thukten Yeshey from Bhutan is included in the research team.

nazhoen chharo
Bhutan+partners will re-edit the feature film nazhoen chharo of the acclaimed bhutanese fiIm director dorji wangchuck. The film tells the story of a young man wanting to stop fights between gangs in thimphu, the capital city of bhutan.The film describes the fast changes in bhutan. From a closed society, the country is propelled into today’s environment, where it is confronted with youth problems of all kind. Nazhoen chharo has won several prices in asia and will soon be available for the european market.
