‘Queen of Bhutan’ tulip bulbs will be shipped to Bhutan soon. Mrs Thering Yangki, the Gardeners shop in Thimphu, will be selling the tulip bulbs from her shop at the Centenary market in Thimphu. The bulbs will also be available at the airport in Paro. Bhutan+partners has a limited supply of the beautiful ‘queen of bhutan’ tulip bulbs available in the Netherlands. ’86centimetres…’ a bhutan+partners production by Tshering Gyeltshen, Bhutan, and Peterjan van der Burgh, the Netherlands, is one of the selected Bhutan special films at Beskop Tshechu 2013. ’86centimetres…’ covers the story of Tashi, a young Bhutanese farmer who traveled to Lunana to help reduce the volume of Lake Thorthormi and thus prevent a glacial lake outburst flooding.
‘Bløf in Bhutan – Rocking the Himalayan Kingdom’, directed by Dorji Wangchuck and produced by bhutan+partners, follows the Dutch rock band Bløf during their rehearsals with Jigme Drukpa and recording of the song ‘a way of coming home’ . The band and Jigme gave two concerts in Thimphu in 2005. More then 10.000 bhutanese enjoyed the concert at the clock tower square.
Beskop Tshechu, is a non profit short film festival in Bhutan initiated and organised by a group of filmmakers, artists and volunteers. This years festival, hosted in Thimphu from 5-10 September 2013, features bhutan short films, animation, documentaries and a collection of foreign films, facebook page Beskop Tshechu
Bhutan+partners together with organisers of Beskop Tshechu look into possibilities to organise the Bhutan film festival in Europe from 2014 onwards.
