Honorary professor of Business Spirituality at Nyenrode dr. Paul de Chauvigny de Blot Lic. Ph, invited Mr. Henk de Jong, bhutan+partners, as a resource person on 30 may 2011 at Nyenrode Business University, Breukelen, the Netherlands.
Prof. Dr. Paul de Blot and Henk de Jong explored the concept of gross national happiness and recent developments in Bhutan.
The seminar was attended by over 90 senior students of Paul de Blot, all business persons.

HM Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, the king of Bhutan announced that he will marry his fiancee Jetsun Pema in October 2011. The king made the announcement in parliament on 20 May 2011.

De koning van Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, kondigde op 20 Mei 2011 in de bijeenkomst van het parlement zijn voorgenomen huwelijk aan met Jetsun Pema. De koning, 31 jaar, trouwt in oktober 2011 met Jestun Pema, 21 jaar. Volgens koning Jigme Khesar, moet de koningin van Bhutan als mens een goed persoon zijn en als koningin onvoorwaardelijk de mensen van Bhutan en hun land dienen. De koning verzekerde de Bhutanese bevolking dat hij in Jestun Pema zijn koningin gevonden heeft.

Mark Blankwater, wrote an article in the Kuensel about the influence of prizes handed out at sports events in Bhutan. Mark is trainer and coach of the sports youth workers at Chang Jiji youth centre for the sport coalitions in action program form March to end of May 2011.

from the youth after they won our local basketball tourna- ment. I didn’t know much about the award culture in Bhutan, but for me it sounded a bit of a luxury to go there, but they were serious. It was my first experience. That is why it surprised me.
