bhutan+partners visit Bhutan, July 2010

Henk de Jong, director bhutan+partners, visited Bhutan in July 2010 and was accompanied by  Mr. Mark Blankwater and Ms Meinou Steemers. Both Meinou and Mark worked with Bhutanese partners on the Sport Coalitions in Action program.
Bhutan+Partners board member Mrs. Corinne Heijn and her family visited Bhutan on a private trip. Mrs. Heyn took the opportunity to meet Bhutan business women.

Besides meetings concerning the sportsprogram Henk de Jong met with government officials, the business community and donors on the future CSR business programs and the documentary on the glacial lakes, Henk met with Her Majesty the Queen, Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck at a function in Chang JiJi and with the Prime Minister of Bhutan Lyonchhen Jigmi Y Thinley for an interview on climate change.
Also witnessed was the world cup football final 2010 at the press club in Thimphu with Bhutanese and Dutch friends. The Dutch team did not win the cup despite support from many in Bhutan.
A trade mission to Bhutan on CSR business is planned for November 2010.
