The circle of karma by Kunzang Choden publiced in The Netherlands
Tsomos' Karma, the Dutch title of Kunzang Choden's novel The Circle of Karma has been published by De Geus and Oxfam Novib. Kunzang Choden has been invited by the Prince Claus Fund to come to the Netherlands.

Mr. C Klein - Honorary Consul of Bhutan in the Netherlands
Mr. Cornelis (Kees) Klein has been appointed Honorary Consul in the Netherlands. Mr. Klein was born in Amsterdam, studied in Rotterdam and worked for UNDP en UNCDF. Kees Klein went to Bhutan in 1981, where he met his wife Namgay Dem. He retired in 2007. These days Mr Klein and his wife live in the Netherlands with their four sons.
Mr Klein has 35 years of experience and extensive knowledge in the field of development cooperation. He was involved in designing development projects and programmes, as well as coordination and evaluation

Sports coalitions in action
Bhutan + Partners is involved in programme development for the Sports coalitions in action programme for Bhutan executed by NOC*NSF. Bhutan has been selected for this programme given the long-term relation ship with Bhutan and the previous sports programs executed between the two countries.
The aim of Sports coalitions in action is to improve the position of vulnerable groups of young people, girls and women. A project for social cohesion in Bhutan, carried out by Bhutanese and Dutch organisations and linked up with the national policy.
Frank van Eekeren, coordinator coalitions in action programme NOC/NSF, and Henk de Jong, coordinator Bhutan+Partners, visited Bhutan from 16 - 20 March 2009. They discussed possibilities for a sports programme focusing on young school dropouts with relevant stakeholders in Thimphu. For information please contact Bhutan+Partners

With the coronation of the fifth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and festivities on 6, 7 and 8
November; the first general elections held in March, the constitution endorsed in July and the Royal Centenary celebrations throughout the country. Bhutan + Partners contributed to the festivities in 2008 by organizing two classical piano concerts in Bhutan.
Grand Piano for Bhutan was a challenging cultural program by Bhutan + Partners and Chenzig Entertainment, Bhutan.
